La Piscine in association with the Issoudun, Angers, and Belfort museums presents the work of sculpture Peter Briggs in four stages. Born in England, in 1950, Peter Briggs has lived and worked in France since the early 1970s. A sculptor outside of mainstream currents, he holds a particular and atypical place in the French and contemporary scene. At each stage of his “Rough Drafts” exhibition, the artist furthers his logic for extending his studio with all the elements that arise from it, materials and shapes, samples, swatches and technical tests, amassed over 40 years. An unexpected plunge into the artist’s creative space.
